Assem Akram - The '1492' Conspiracy

Thanks to the providential help of Senator Gareth and the enormous work of persuasion led by Jim Azuelos with his father, we had certainly moved forward on several fronts. But on one major issue – i.e. that of knowing what would trigger the conflict - we were more or less clueless.

We sat in Ava’s apartment listing action items that would significantly move us forward to check the ‘1492’ threat and checkmate its mastermind.

It was a sunny early afternoon. We had ordered some Chinese: not very original. The food was barely edible. The problem with Chinese restaurants is that you never know what you are getting unless you’ve tested it. If you expect that your Szechwan chicken is going to taste the same, no matter where you are ordering it from, you are gravely mistaken!

My phone rang to the tune of ‘The Pink Panther,’ which I had downloaded to add some humor to an otherwise ‘unenjoyable’ overall environment.

“Hey, Your Badness, this is Condi,” she said in a naughty voice.
