Joachim Azuelos’ revelations gave credit and full backing to Maureen’s article in the public eye. The news spread like bushfire throughout the world. Israel, Egypt, Syria, Iran and other countries in the Middle East announced that their armies have been placed on high alert and that they are ready to face any potential threat with adequate means.

 

In an emergency meeting, the UN Security Council, despite the denegation and nagging of the US ambassador, voted on a resolution calling all powers and countries in the region to condemn the use of force and seek the resolution of all conflicts by peaceful means and in obedience of International Law. The UN Secretary General published a statement in which he condemned as a question of principle the meddling of all kind of religious proselytism and religious extremism in world affairs.

 

“Your Badness, this is Condi.”

“Hi,” I replied.

“I just read the wires and saw the cuts on MSNBC, CNN - and even Fox: we did it!” she said.

“It was like Nagasaki…”
